The Australia Business Arts Foundation is a company of the Australian Government, supported through the Department of Environment, Water, Heritage and the Arts. AbaF promotes private sector support for the arts.

AbaF connects business, the arts, donors and foundations through three programs – Partnering, Volunteering and Giving. The organisation works with the business sector, the arts and cultural sector (organisations and individuals), and the philanthropic sector (foundations, trusts and individuals) throughout Australia.

AbaF’s Giving program includes the Australia Cultural Fund, which provides a simple way to make tax deductible donations to the arts; professional development for fundraisers; and advice for donors (individuals, families, businesses) and grantmakers (private and corporate foundations) on giving to the arts.

AbaF’s national office is in Melbourne and there are offices in every state. AbaF’s national team is supported by a council and board of over 90 leading companies. AbaF’s national council operates as state-based networks called chapters, which are chaired by business leaders and organise regular functions.
