The Macquarie Group Foundation is one of Australia’s oldest and largest corporate foundations contributing more than $A18.3 million in the 12 months to 31 March 2009 to more than 900 community organisations. In addition, Macquarie staff raised $A7.7 million taking Macquarie’s total community contribution to $A26 million. Supporting the philanthropic endeavours of Macquarie staff and businesses is one of the most important commitments that the Foundation makes. All staff are actively encouraged to become involved in the community through giving, not only financially but also their time and professional expertise.
The Macquarie Group Foundation focuses its resources in five core areas – arts, education, the environment, health and welfare. We are also committed to projects specifically aimed at supporting Indigenous communities.
